"Discover, Experience, Live!" or D.E.T. was a project implemented with financial support from the European Commission through the Youth in Action, Action 1.2 Youth Initiatives, in August 2009 – June 2010.
To achieve the objectives, a group of students of the Faculty of Sociology and Social Work, the Social Work, University of Bucharest, has worked with high school students in Greek-Catholic "Timothy Cipariu", Bucharest. Following collaboration Club was formed DET (DET project name is an acronym, or, as one of the students used to joke, short for Department of Foreign Terrorist!).
The non-formal education activities in high school, 40 students and 10 students were actively involved and over 50 high school students participated in the dog's above actions prepared by DET Club
Together they discussed topics of interest to high school, we organized workshops, I participated in workshops, I learned to put on stage plays and made two numbers Forum magazine DET, published online blog project (can be accessed here) or at http://clubuldet.wordpress.com
The project objectives were met and the initiators are thinking seriously about getting support for a continuation of activity.
What we achieved ?
- we organized a club of non-formal education in Greek-Catholic High School "Timothy Cipariu", Bucharest.
- more than 40 young people (students) were aware of the risk groups and armed with the skills and habits necessary to promote multiculturalism, tolerance and European citizens.
